Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Update: Couple Putting Their Relationship On Maximum Exposure To Help Album Sales? [VIDEO]
When it comes to Hollywood romances, you never know what the real truth might be. That's why fans can't help but wonder if Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's very public relationship might be serving another purpose here.
In fact, there are even rumors that say Shelton and Stefani - who have only been dating since October of last year - might be putting their relationship on maximum exposure simply because they need a boost in their careers and to help promote the country singer's newest album.
According to People Magazine on Tuesday, Shelton's new studio offering, If I'm Honest, will feature his girlfriend in a new duet they recorded together called, "Go Ahead and Break My Heart." And while there's no doubt that the song will be a megahit on the radio, fans are just a little bit suspicious as to why Shelton and Stefani are so eager to mix business with pleasure together.
Some fans commented with, "Of course it will be on the cd- since Blake started dating famous people he put them on his records. Blake leverages his relationships for max exposure. They recorded this in November after a few weeks dating so I expect it to be interesting. Seems these two are ALWAYS pushing their relationship for max exposure," along with, "I think Blake is a half way decent singer and I like what I've heard him sing. Gwen, she's such a sweetheart but she can't sing. I don't know exactly how she remains in the business."
Another critic wrote, "They act like teenagers, it's embarrassing."
Shelton's new album lands in stores on May 20.
