The driver of a black Bentley owned by LA Lakers' forward/center Jordan Hill was arrested after crashing into a Marina del Rey, Calif., complex on March 30, according to CBS Los Angeles.

Authorities said Hill was not driving the vehicle nor was he inside of it at the time of the crash. California Highway Patrol confirmed the accident that reportedly occurred when the car jumped the curb and crashed into the front of Esprit condominiums in the 13900 block of Marquesas Way. The driver was identified by as 26-year-old Michael Lacey.

CHP Sgt. Osvaldo Ferreria said the driver was speeding and lost control of the Bentley, and Lacey was then arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Lacey is a longtime friend of Hill's. The driver along with a passenger in the Bentley were not seriously injured in the crash and no one inside the building was injured, according to the news report.

"We heard a large bang and then a splash of water kind of like someone crashed into the pool. And then we walked outside and it looked like a water main had burst. You could smell gas," Daniel Spielman, a witness, said. "The driver and whoever else was in the car ran up into the building."

The Bentley was totaled in the accident and a police dispatcher said there were no signs the car had been stolen.

Hill and his reps have not publicly commented on the incidet. However, the athlete wrote the following message on Twitter the same day as the car crash and only a few hours after it happened, perhaps hinting at something:

"I'm good everybody...just a bad decision made by a great dude...thanks black ops for keeping me on the couch at da time Lets get this W doe."
