The Colorado Rockies will make the trek to Miller Park to square off against the Milwaukee Brewers in a MLB opening day matchup on Monday.

The Brewers will send Jhoulys Chacin to the hill while the Rockies start Yovani Gallardo.

The respective game will feature five time all-star 1B Todd Helton making his 16th consecutive opening day start for Colorado, and it could very well be his last, as he's entering the last season of his contract.

"I do realize it's coming to an end and enjoy everything a bit more. Sit back and just be in the moment a little bit more. Everything surrounding opening day, they're all special. It's just a great time of year knowing you're going to be playing baseball again," Helton told ESPN.

Helton's 2012 season had been cut short due to a hip injury that required surgery.

The Rockies will be led by new manager Walt Weiss, who took over the ball club after the team finished last in the NL West with a franchise-worst 64-98 record.

"There is no question the pink elephant in the room is I haven't done this before. This is a job that I'm going to have to figure out on the fly," he said.
