William Baxter from Homer Glen, Ill. filed a lawsuit against a woman because her cat allegedly attacked him while he tried to feed it.

The attack occurred on April 22, 2011, and Baxter filed a lawsuit for $100,000 against Christine Bobak on March 22, according to The Chicago Sun Times. They are scheduled to appear in court on July 10.

In the lawsuit, Baxter claims the cat "viciously attacked, bit and clawed" him and claims to have suffered serious injuries from a bite on his ring finger and claw marks on his left arm.

According to Gawker, the lawsuit also alleges that Bobak should have known the incident could happen because the cat had apparently attacked someone before.

The Chicago Sun Times reported that there is a Facebook profile for a man named Billy Baxter who is also from Homer Glen. That Baxter is married to a woman named Christine "Bobak" Baxter, but the publication couldn't confirm whether or not they are the Baxter and Bobak involved in the cat attack case.

Baxter's attorney Michael Shammas declined to comment on the case or the Facebook account.

According to the publication, Shammas said, "That's not something I really want to get into and talk about. I'd rather keep it in the courthouse."
