Twins vs Tigers Live Stream: Watch Online MLB 2013 At 3:10 PM ET
The Detroit Tigers (1-0) will square off against the Minnesota Twins (0-1) in a late afternoon MLB showdown at Target Field.
The defending American League champions will try to win another when they send Anibal Sanchez to the mound against Kevin Correia of the Twins.
Although Sanchez pitched quite impressively down the stretch when he was picked up by Detroit, he was actually 0-1 with a 4.63 ERA away versus Minnesota last season.
After Sanchez was acquired from the Miami Marlins in a deal that brought him over with Omar Infante, he went 4-6 with a 3.74 ERA overall in 12 starts during the regular season.
"It's definitely big for us to know that Sanchez is coming back," Alex Avila told ESPN.
The Twins are hoping to turn their luck around offensively after whiffing 12 times and leaving 12 runners on base in the opening day game.
"Our pitching kept us in there. But it's all about getting those timely hits, and we didn't do that today. But I like where we're at," third baseman Trevor Plouffe told the Minnesota Twins official website.
