Prince Death News Update: Singer's Former Assistant Says He Was A 'Very Healthy Person' [VIDEO]
The question of what was happening with Prince before his death still remains a mystery.
There's been a lot of discussions about the singer's health issues before he suddenly died on April 21. But in an interview with The Associated Press on Tuesday, Prince's former assistant Mariah Brown claims she never saw the man do anything to make himself sick.
"He was a very, very healthy person," she said. "That man has more energy than me and anyone I know. The whole death didn't make sense to me...he never came across as sick or anything like that."
When Brown worked for Prince, she would do a lot of basics for him, including buying his clothes and bringing him food. She even got to tour with him.
It was an experience she will never forget.
"My experience with him was phenomenal; he's like no other," Brown said. "It was like magical."
When she would tour with him, it was incredible, but it came with some challenges. Brown admitted there was a time when they were hitting the road in Europe and she got overwhelmed with all she had to do so she started crying. But it seems like Prince was there for her when this happened.
"Prince came into the room, and we just had one of those meaningful conversations, and he was handing me tissues," Brown said.
The former assistant stopped working for Prince about a year ago. At this point, she doesn't understand why he would be left by himself if he was having problems with his health.
She also said that she's staying away from social media to avoid all the tabloid fodder.
"It's like people are coming out just to try and throw dirt on his name," Brown said. "It's sad. Let that man rest in peace."
