His death was the one of the most heartbreaking, but thanks to Melisandre (Carice Van Houten) and her dark magic, the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, a.k.a Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is once again alive and back amongst his brothers at Castle Black on Game of Thrones.

Melisandre's magic worked in the final moments of the show's more recent episode, and in the closing seconds, Jon Snow gasped and opened his eyes, back in the land of the living. Now, in a preview clip for the Sunday, May 8 episode, he will stun everyone when he walks back out among them, proving to them all that he may be more than they ever estimated him to be.

"They think you're some kind of God," Tormund (Kristofer Hivju) says in the clip.

His coming back to life could also come at a very particular time as well. His younger half-brother, Bran (Isaac Hampstead-Wright) has been continuing his training with the Three-Eyed Raven beyond the wall, and has been flashing back to a time at Winterfell when his father, Ned was a boy, growing up alongside his brother Benjen and sister Lyanna. Now, he will warg again and see another scene from his father's younger days, one that could be very telling in a way no one in his family ever knew, and it could reveal more insights into Jon's own backstory as well.

Bran appears to witness a scene of his father fighting during Robert's rebellion, in a battle that has previously been speculated to be the recreation of the Tower of Joy sequence-and that scene's significance could very much change everything for the Starks, and Jon himself.

However, regardless of any potential further backstory that could be explored for Jon, his attentions may need to be focused elsewhere. In Winterfell, Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) has risen to be the Warden of the North after murdering his father, Roose, his wife, Walda, and their newborn baby boy. And though he still doesn't have Sansa (Sophie Turner), another Stark could be brought into his presence, giving him more power and control once again.

"Why have you come to Winterfell?" He asks Smalljon Umber (Dean S. Jagger) in the clip.

"I've got a gift for you," Umber replies.

Whatever gift is presented to Ramsay is one which makes him smile, and the only thing that would give him that much joy would be a Stark. Of the ones who are left, the only one it makes sense for him to have been given is Rickon (Art Parkinson), as Robb is dead, Sansa is with Brienne (Gwendoline Christie), Arya (Maisie Williams) is still in Braavos, and Bran is beyond the Wall. If Rickon is now back in Winterfell, and potentially in danger of Ramsay's games, Jon may need to decide if he will interfere in Winterfell in an attempt to save his half-brother.

Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO.
