'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Cast: 10 Characters Who Will Likely Die When HBO Series Returns [PHOTO]
Game of Thrones is known for some bloody deaths and it's become clear over the years that no one is safe from a potentially gruesome death on the HBO series.
Several main characters have died even as early back as season one (RIP Ned), and things didn't let up even as recently as the season five finale, which saw the confirmed deaths of Myrcella Baratheon, and Stannis Baratheon, as well as the presumed death of Jon Snow. And while many believe we will see Jon Snow again in some form or another this season, we know that at some point, we will see other characters die, including some beloved (and some not so beloved) major players.
So who do we think is most likely to bite the dust? Here are predictions for the 10 most likely characters to get killed off before season 6's end:
MOST LIKELY TO DIE:

It doesn't seem like things are going to be good for Jorah in the new season, because his Greyscale is only going to continue spreading and will likely take over before the season's end. Hopefully, he'll be able to safely return Dani to Mereen before he succumbs.

Now that Sansa and Theon have both fled Winterfell, Ramsay is going to need to take his sadistic attentions elsewhere-and where else would he focus them other than on his father, Roose, and his pregnant new wife, Walda? Look for Ramsay to make sure he protects what he sees as his birthright-which is being the Warden of the North.

Of course, most people would love to see him bite it before the season ends-and now, it may seem like that's a possibility. After all, without Sansa and Theon, and even without his father and stepmother if he does kill them, Ramsay has very little purpose on the show. And someone who's sole purpose seemed to be mainly so we would have someone to hate, and who's only useful skill is sadistic torture, will eventually meet his end, especially if any new battles head towards Winterfell.

Natalie Dormer, who portrays the currently imprisoned queen, did a lot of press ahead of the season-which isn't usually a good sign for a character's fate. Of course, she's managed to get out of some sticky situations before, so maybe she'll be lucky and evade what fate might have in store for her, but that extensive press makes us worried about the pretty queen's life.
Davos Seaworth

Similarly to Dormer, Liam Cunningham has also been doing some heavy press. Plus, without Stannis (and potentially no Jon either), there isn't a whole lot he's going to be considered useful for. For now, he's also still at the Wall, where there are plenty of enemies who want Jon's body, and to potentially rid of themselves of his allies-of whom Davos is one. Also, there does need to be at least one completely soul-crushing, gut-wrenching death on every season of the show of characters fans love. So following in the grand traditions of Eddard Stark, Renly Baratheon, Catelyn Stark, Robb Stark, Oberyn Martell, Shireen Baratheon and Jon Snow, the show could decide to off Davos.
OTHER LIKELY CANDIDATES:

We know the king's death is slated to happen at some point, thanks to the prophecy we heard about Cersei's future in season five. Joffrey was killed off in season 4, and Myrcella was poisoned in the season five finale, leaving Cersei's lone child to face his fate. And with the impending war his mother is likely waging against the Faith Militant for their humiliating her with her walk of shame-he could easily be caught in the crossfire.
Theon Greyjoy

We liked him, then hated him, then felt kind of bad for him, as he went from Stark Ward to traitor, and was then reduced to Reek thanks to Ramsay. He finally seemed to snap back into the role of the Theon we liked when he killed Myranda and helped Sansa escape, but if the two head to the Iron Islands, where his Uncle Euron is set to arrive this season, his life could be in danger.
Loras Tyrell

Also jailed by the Faith Militant for his sinful relationships with men, Loras could seal his fate if he continues to refuse to confess. And if refusal to confess means execution...we could see the Knight of the Flowers' pretty little head on a spike sooner than we may like. It seems more true than ever that this could happen since Finn Jones has landed the lead role in Marvel's Iron Fist on Netflix, and may not have time for Thrones anymore as a result.
Melisandre

Though she could be instrumental in potentially bringing Jon Snow back to life, the Red Witch's purpose is gone now that Stannis was killed, and she has realized he was never the one she saw in the flames. Even if she brings Jon back to life, he likely won't need to be brought back multiple times, meaning her purpose could continue to be a useless one, and if she's expendable, she can easily be killed off.
Maester Pycelle

In all seriousness, this guy has to be in like his nineties now...his days have to be numbered by that alone. But again, when looking at it from the perspective of characters who aren't really all that useful anymore, he's been useless ever since Qyburn showed up. And since Qyburn brought the Mountain back to life...he's a lot more useful than Pycelle ever really was isn't he?
Game of Thrones season 6 premieres Sunday, April 24 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
