'Game of Thrones' Season 6 SNEAK PEEK: WATCH First Clip Hinting At What Happened To Jon Snow [VIDEO]
The highly anticipated season six premiere is only a few weeks away, but finally, fans are getting a first look at a scene from the upcoming season of Game of Thrones.
Liam Cunningham, who portrays Ser Davos Seaworth on the show, appeared on Conan last night, and despite the host's attempts to try and pry some big secrets out of him, Cunningham remained mostly tight-lipped—admitting he may know some stuff which George R.R. Martin told him, but there was no way O'Brien was going to get it out of him.
"He goes, 'I have something to tell you,' and he leans in and he tells me this secret and says 'don't tell anyone.' So I'm not telling anybody," Cunningham said.
"Until tonight," O'Brien joked. "Did he tell you who ends up in the Iron Throne?"
"He could have," Cunningham teased.
Then, after a joke involving his not being allowed to say anything or a sniper HBO hired would take him out (a promise that seemed to be made good on when O'Brien asked if Jon Snow was alive), Cunningham and O'Brien introduced the first official clip from the new season. It seemed to drop a hint about a major moment involving Davos during the trailer, where he seemed ready to defend Jon Snow's dead body from members of the Night's Watch.
In the clip, Davos and two members of the Watch are standing with Jon's body in a barricaded room when Davos reaches for Jon's sword, Longclaw. However, he isn't reaching for it to attack the two other men in the room, but is preparing along with them to defend Jon's body from those outside the room—including Ser Alliser Thorne (Owen Teale) and Olly (Brenock O'Connor)—who were involved in Jon's stabbing. They seem intent on getting his body back from the few supporters he still has at Castle Black.
