It pays to be President if you're a Game of Thrones fan.

As fans eagerly await the start of the highly anticipated sixth season of the show in less than two weeks, and have to deal with very little in terms of spoilers thanks to trailers that don't really give anything away, one person in particular who was getting impatient about what was going to happen already knows everything-and his name is President Barack Obama.

In an interview during the show's L.A. premiere, show creator David Benioff and D.B. Weiss revealed that they had gotten a request from the President for some spoilers, and decided to give him an advanced screener of the new episodes since they thought it would be pretty hard to say no to him.

"I think, for both of us, finding out the President wanted advanced copies of the episodes was an 'aha' moment. That was a very strange moment, " Benioff said when asked about when he realized the show was as popular as it was.

"Yes," Weiss added. "He's the leader of the free world."

"When the commander-in-chief says 'I want to see advanced episodes,' what are you gonna do?" Benioff chimed in.

Of course, this isn't the first time it's been revealed that the President is an avid fan of the series based on George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire book series, or the first time it's been revealed that he got advanced copies of the show either. In a recent interview with Vulture magazine, Liam Cunningham, who portrays Davos Seaworth, admitted his shock that the president was allowed to know what happens, after he approached David Nutter, who directed the season five finale, at a party and asked about Jon Snow's fate.

"Did you know he gets advance copies? POTUS," Cunningham said. "He gets DVD copies before we do. And we're in it!"

Game of Thrones season 6 premieres Sunday, April 24 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
