There comes a time when a game comes out and pushes the capabilities of the day's consoles to their limit. During the age of the first PlayStation, SquareSoft's Chrono Cross and Final Fantasy IX redefined just what how far Sony's console could go. Three generations after, out comes Uncharted 4, a game that might very well be the pinnacle of games for the Sony PlayStation 4.

The Uncharted series has always been known to be beautiful. Visually appealing and featuring a story which was branded by many to be the best of its genre, Uncharted has become a franchise that is synonymous with quality. Recently, however, Naughty Dog, the developer of the title, received some very notable commendation from a rather unexpected personality in gaming in the form of a tweet from none other than the head of Microsoft's Xbox team, Phil Spencer himself.

With that one tweet, Spencer has basically shown something that is rarely seen in the ongoing console wars between Sony and Microsoft. After all, since the days of old, where the main rivalry was between Nintendo and Sega, game developers rarely extended gracious words to their rivals. Of course, Naughty Dog's Shuhei Yoshida immediately responded to Spencer's tweet, showing the same respect extended by the Microsoft Xbox head.

The two video game personalities then exchanged some more words before calling it a night. Though brief, the interaction between Spencer and Yoshida is a rare occurrence in the ongoing console wars.

While the conversation between Spencer and Yoshida is indeed compelling, it is very interesting to note that Spencer praised Uncharted 4 for the game's graphics. Notably, graphics has been one of the biggest issues in the console wars, with Sony fans pointing out the graphical limitations of Microsoft's Xbox One.

With the way critical acclaim has been pouring on the title in torrents, Uncharted 4 seems poised to become one of the best-selling titles of 2016. In fact, it might very well be the game to beat for 2016's Game of the Year Award.
