Could Blake Shelton be quitting his coaching role on The Voice?

According to a new report, Shelton “flipped out” after learning his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, recently suffered a "backstage meltdown" after learning she would not be included on the coaching panel of the upcoming 11th season.

“Blake is mulling over the possibility of quitting the show after this next season,” a source told Radar Online on Monday. “He is saying that he loves The Voice because it brought him to Gwen, but that he ultimately wants to focus more on his career and give other artists the opportunity that he has had."

While Shelton and Adam Levine will be returning to The Voice for season 11 later this year, their co-stars, including Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams, will all be taking the season off. However, because Stefani typically returns to her role every other season of the show, she was reportedly upset by the producer's decision to bring aboard two new coaches, Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys, rather than have her return.

“Gwen is livid that she was not asked to replace Christina on The Voice next season,” a source told Radar Online last week. “And because of this she wants to quit the show altogether.”

“She and Blake seem to feel that Christina was responsible for this because she wanted to piss Gwen off,” said the insider. ” And it did!”

As Shelton and Stefani reportedly consider moving on from the series, their music careers are keeping them both quite busy. As Stefani prepares to embark on her upcoming tour, the This Is What The Truth Feels Like Tour, Shelton is busy promoting his upcoming album, If I'm Honest.
