'Braxton Family Values' 2016: Tamar Braxton Talks 'Hurting' Her Sisters & New Episodes [VIDEO]
It’s no secret the Braxton sisters have had their differences on WeTV’s Braxton Family Values; and often times Tamar Braxton was the odd sister out. Now she has candidly opened up about drama with her sisters and what we can expect to see in the fifth season that began Thursday.
In Style caught up with Braxton, who stars in the show with her family as well as co-hosts The Real daily Thursday. Now that Braxton Family Values has reached its fifth season, she had no problem dishing on what she has learned since the show kicked off back in 2010.
“Wait until someone asks for your opinion or advice. I’m the youngest and so I would often just give my unsolicited advice. And that’s not always so good. I thought I was helping my sisters, but I was actually hurting them… and I don’t want to do that. So I’ve learned to hush up for a bit until someone asks me. I wait until they ask and then I give them the truth. My new rule is: If you ask me, I will TELL you.”
She added that growing up with five sisters has helped her “understand the dynamic” of her The Real co-hosts: Tamera Mowry-Housley, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Adrienne Bailon.
Still, the Braxton sisters face a different kind of drama as they try to decide whether their mother, Miss Evelyn, will live in Los Angeles with Tamar and Toni, or in Atlanta where Towanda and Trina are based.
“Toni and myself want her to be in L.A. because we feel like we can take better care of her and keep a closer eye. [In Georgia] Trina and Towanda live an hour away from her.”
She said they are still filming. Don’t miss Braxton Family Values Thursdays at 9/8c on WeTV.
