Johnny Depp Update: Wife Amber Heard Files For Divorce Three Days After Actor’s Mom Dies [VIDEO]
This is either shocking for some, or not shocking at all depending on how you look at it. There's a new report that says actress Amber Heard has filed for divorce from her husband Johnny Depp after just 15 months of marriage.
But to make things worse though, Heard filed only three days after the death of Depp's mother. The actor was reportedly very close to his mom.
According to TMZ on Wednesday, the couple did not have a prenup and apparently Heard is asking for spousal support. Updates reports say that Depp has filed his response through his lawyer Laura Wasser and has asked to judge in their case to reject his ex-wife's case.
Depp was previously in a 14 year relationship with French actress Vanessa Paradis. The ex-couple share two children together, Lily-Rose and Jack.
Some comments from both fans and critics alike include, "The marriage must be in shambles for her to file 2 days after his mom died? Three major events for Depp: death, divorce, and a movie...too much all together," along with, "Serves him right. He left his children in France and publicly humiliated his partner of 14 years to be with a woman half his age. Is anyone shocked by her callousness? And the fact that she wants spousal support is just icing on the cake. I bet his EX is just loving this!"
So far neither Heard nor Depp have made any comments about the divorce. Depp's latest film, Alice Through The Looking Glass, hits the box office this Friday.
