Anzor Tsarnaev, the father of the two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings called on his 19-year-old son Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to "tell police everything," Friday night after learning that he had been captured and was under arrest.

He reportedly said "Thank God," and started to cry, after he was informed that police in Boston captured his son who is in serious and critical condition, according to an ABC News report Friday night.

The father was speaking from his residence in the city of Makhachkala in Russia. When asked by an ABC News correspondent, what did he want to tell his son, Mr. Tsarnaev said:

"Just tell police everything, I still don't believe but tell them everything," he reportedly said.

The father of the suspects said that it was unfortunate that he lost one son but at least, the other one appeared to be alive, he said.

Earlier, he made headlines after he reportedly told media that "If they killed him [the younger son], then all hell would break loose." He also told the Associated Press that his sons "were set up. I saw it on television. They killed my son."

He reportedly had spoken to his sons on the phone earlier this week after news of the bombing spread around the world.

"We talked about the bombing. I was worried about them," he said, adding that his sons reassured him. "[They told me], 'everything is good, Daddy. Everything is very good.'"

Police arrested Tsarnaev just before 9 p.m. ET on Franklin St. in Watertown, Mass. He had been on the run since his older brother Tamerlan was killed in a shootout earlier today.

"CAPTURED!!! The hunt is over. The search is done. The terror is over. And justice has won. Suspect in custody," the Boston Police Dept. tweeted Friday at 9:00 p.m. EST.

Dzhokhar was found hiding in a boat in the backyard of the Franklin St. residence.

"In our time of rejoicing, let us not forget the families of Martin Richard, Lingzi Lu, Kristle Campbell and Officer Sean Collier," the Boston Police Dept. tweeted later.
