Officer Norman: Celebrities Salute 'Good' Policeman After Police Shootings [VIDEO]

A Little Rock, AR officer is getting lots of attention just day after the nation was hit with several police crises.

Officer Tommy Norman, who works for the North Little Rock Police Department, now has 973,000 followers on Instagram after he was recognized for his position in the community. Norman has been posting videos of him out and about in the neighborhoods of his patrol area that featured children and people in the community who have become fan favorites long before the police shootings that took place last week. But now, he has received recognition for it.

Rapper The Game and his son started a GoFundMe project in Norman’s honor tohelp him be able to continue to the work he does in the neighborhood that includes giving special gifts to some of the children.

Norman wrote Sunday, “What do I say? What do I do? As I type this I look into the sky & thank the man above for my heart to serve! But can I be honest? I don’t see what you see. I don’t see the amazement. Being on the inside looking out, and giving my heart & soul for so many years is just a part of life for me. To grab the worlds attention? No way! A sincere thank you to @losangelesconfidential & his son @hvrlemtaylor for having faith in my mission & dream to change the world!”

Actress Taraji P. Henson, singer Monica Brown and reality TV personality Toya Wright also expressed thanks to Norman.
