An Australian fisherman who captured three sharks in his net was bitten on both of his legs while trying to free them loose.

According to the Christian Post, Alan Saunders, 51, wasn't expecting to catch any sharks on his fishing trek, but ended up getting three. When he attempted to let one of them go, another one of them went into attack mode.

"I didn't know what it was, it felt like if you'd been hit by 240 volts, like a power shock," Saunders explained to Yahoo!.

The Guardian reported that the scary attack happened off the coast of New South Wales, and left Sanders ended up with "deep puncture wounds" on his legs.

"Alan was involved in removing one of the sharks out of the wings of the net. He released that shark but another shark came in and bit him on both legs," said brother Ray Saunders.

Ironically enough, a saltwater crocodile attacked 29-year-old Yoann Galeran around the same time, who had been swimming from shore in Nhulunbuy on Sunday, stated the BBC.

Galeran was said to be bitten on his head, neck and shoulders, which required stitches for his injuries.

"I just feel that I've been lucky and I just think [if it was] a bigger crocodile, I maybe wouldn't have any head," he told the site.

"We've walked out on the back deck and Jo's [Yoann] standing there with a big grin on his face and blood pouring out of him," his boss Lisa Heathcote explained.
