Grand Theft Auto VI is almost like the unicorn of open-world games nowadays. Everybody knows it's there, everyone knows it's being developed, but almost no one has seen any concrete proof of the game yet. Despite the lack of official information about the upcoming game, however, the rumor mill continues to be in overdrive for the highly-anticipated title.

While some rumors, such as the game being set in a location outside the United States, have persistently been popping practically since the last GTA game was released, there are other speculations which have just recently emerged.

One of them, which involves the introduction of a new feature in the upcoming game, has captured the attention of avid fans of the franchise. According to rumors, the next Grand Theft Auto installment would feature a World Map, where players would be able to travel to new and old locations that have been featured in the long-running franchise.

If this rumor does indeed prove to be true, players of GTA 6 would be able to revisit iconic locations such as San Andreas Liberty City while playing through the primary plot of the game. This feature, if it does indeed make it to Grand Theft Auto VI, would make the game the most ambitious yet. After all, GTA is known for its open-world explorations. Thus, adding a World Map feature would just make the game exponentially larger.

What really makes this particular rumor stand out is the fact that it actually aligns with other speculations that have emerged about the upcoming title. Over the past months, rumors and leaks have emerged stating that several key locations in the Grand Theft Auto franchise are being remastered and seemingly adapted for a current or next-generation gaming console.

If any, these new rumors about GTA 6's World Map feature have made the game even more interesting to its legion of fans. Indeed, every Grand Theft Auto fan right now would probably agree that the hype for the next GTA title is very real, and is reaching new heights.
