A woman has unknowingly smuggled 30 pounds of weed across the Mexican-American border.

The 33-year-old unidentified woman is currently being investigated by police after after she called police when two men approached her car when she drove to where she works in San Diego early morning at 3 a.m.

She told police that the men started removing packages from under her car and that they seemed 'startled' when the woman didn't leave the vehicle after that. She called police after the men left.

When police arrived, six packages of marijuana, reportedly weighing 30 pounds, were found attached to the undercarriage of her car. The woman was unaware that the narcotics had been hidden in her car during her commute to San Diego.

An investigation is underway and so far no arrests have been made. It is not known who the two men were, or who attached the marijuana sacks to her car.

Authorities have previously warned commuters to check the bottom of their vehicles before crossing the Mexican-American border.
Officials have warned that there is a pattern where drug cartels track vehicles and obtain key copies before placing the drugs inside of the car trunks at night when the owner is away.

The drugs are estimated to be be worth up to $200,000.
