Nickelodeon Shows: Network To 'Make History' & Air First Gay Cartoon Couple, Twitter Responds [VIDEO]
Nickelodeon is set to make history in its cartoon series and fans have shared mixed feelings about it on Twitter.
The network is slated to debut its first ever homosexual cartoon couple on Loud House. In the episode that is airing Wednesday night (July 20), we might Clyde McBride’s parents. Clyde is a friend of the main character Lincoln Loud, and is having a sleepover at the Loud home. In the teaser, Lincoln addresses the elephant in the room before opening the door.
“This is it. Time to make history,” he said before greeting the interracial and gay couple with a “Hi, Mr. Bride. Hi, Mr. McBride.”
The couple, who is voiced by Wayne Brady and Michael McDonald, is also an interracial one. Check it out.
As for Twitter, many fans are split in their thoughts on the moment.
