Billionaire pop star Madonna's homeless brother has been arrested and required nine stitches after he was injured while he tried to resist the arrest.

56-year-old Anthony Ciccone refused to leave a public bathroom at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center in northern Michigan and police had to be called to remove him.

However, when an officer arrived and tried to arrest Ciccone on a warrant for trespassing, he resisted and had to be forcefully brought to the ground. Ciccone landed on his face and as a result, he needed stitches to repair the injury.

Ciccone's blood-alcohol level was registered as high - at 0.40.

Madonna's estranged brother said in a recent interview that he does not think his pop icon sibling cares about him at all, to the extend that it is of no concern to her whether he is dead or alive.

Ciccone is a homeless alcoholic who has been living on the streets of Traverse City, Mich., for almost three years and he is now talking about his family troubles. He told Daily Mail, in a story published on March 29, that Madonna "doesn't give a s-t if I'm dead or alive."

"She lives in her own world. I never loved her in the first place, she never loved me," he added. "We never loved each other."

Ciccone spends his time only 12 miles away from the Ciccone family Vineyard, where his father and stepmother live. He was recently jailed for a month for being intoxicated in a church and swearing at children, according to the report. He blames his family for the incident and said, "No family backup, when the chips fell, no family backup."

"What would you do under these circumstances when your family has stood against you completely?" he told Mail Online.

Ciccone is trying to survive a harsh winter on the streets of Michigan and also lashed out against his father, saying he "would be very happy if I died of hypothermia and then he would not have to worry about it anymore...He doesn't want to be bothered. He doesn't like me."

It was revealed last week that Madonna, 54, has a net worth of $1 billion. Family friend and neighbor Kathy Mateyer, who works with the Ciccone family vineyard, revealed that Madonna father - Tony Ciccone - is upset by his son's failure to get help for his alcoholism. The family have refused to take him back until he stops drinking.

"He would sneak into the cellars and he would lay on the floor, open up one of the big tanks, and drink the wine with a glass," Meteyer said. "He just can't come back until he stops drinking, because they think it will kill him, it already kind of has."

Meteyer added that Madonna has attempted to reach out to Anthony and she paid for her brother's rehab stays "several times." But ultimately Meteyer said, "Anthony just won't accept help."

Anthony said he heard people have been bothering his famous sister about matters of neglect regarding her family. He thinks Madonna is "pissed off" with him, but added that he has never asked her for anything and "She doesn't owe me nothing."

In terms of where their relationship stands now, Anthony said, "I've got no beef. If she wants to live that way, that's her thing."

Anthony is the oldest of eight siblings. His and Madonna's mother died of breast cancer in the 1960s at the age of 30, according to the report.
