A supermodel has tumbled while walking the runway in Lagos, Nigeria, and the fall has been caught on camera.

Amal Contran, was walking the runway for Nigerian fashion house Kinabuti, run by Italian designer Caterina Bortolussi, when she tumbled and fell.

Contran was wearing a sleeveless dress with geometric prints from Kinabuti's 2013 collection when she found it hard to balance with her nude heels.

Bortolussi talked about the fall to ABC News: "She was the opening act of the show and from backstage I heard people wooowing and clapping and I said to myself, 'Wow, people are already liking our new pieces,' Then somebody came and said, 'Amal fell.'"

Luckily, Contran did not suffer any injuries and was back on the runway later.

The half-Sudanese, half-Egyptian model was modeling for the collection titled "Vlisco Carnival in the Desert." The line drew rave reviews from fashionistas but her fall was printed in newspapers around the world.

"When we saw the articles today we called her, and she was laughing and happy that she didn't ruin the show," Bortolussi said."She actually made it special and relevant. God's ways are incredible, and it all turned out to be a wonderful blessing."
