The WWE Universe is just three weeks away from its upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view, as the company is moments away from airing its flagship show, Monday Night Raw live from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

While the event will surely be packed with several notable matchups leading into its major feuds at ER, the subject of WWE Champion John Cena's recent achilles heel injury is what's currently dominating the wrestling chatter.

Cena was said to have suffered the injury while competing in a tables match against Ryback at a house show on the European tour on April 21, according to F4WOnline. However, Cena has apparently continued to work through the pain, recently taking part in a six-man tag match against The Shield along with Team Hell No.

With Cena as the current champion, it will be interesting to see how the WWE writers handle the injury situation in terms of his feud at the pay-per-view with Ryback.

WWE Monday Night Raw is set to begin at 8 p.m. EDT on Monday, April 29 on the USA network.
