'Clash of Clans' Updates: Supercell's Upcoming Patch So Massive, It Will Completely Change Gameplay [VIDEO]
There was a time when Supercell's Clash of Clans was the undisputed king of mobile games, with millions of active players using the app on a daily basis. After the release of Niantic's hit augmented reality game Pokémon GO, however, Supercell's hit title was left far behind.
If rumors prove true, this would not be for long. Recent speculations state that Supercell is working on an update that would be so massive and widespread, it would effectively change the game. This would allegedly be done in accordance with the wishes of fans, who were mostly unhappy with the latest Clash of Clans update.
Balancing Troops
Supercell has already begun to balance the game's troops, with August 2016's minor patch nerfing the Healer. Doing so addressed a number of rather unfair strategies that have disenchanted players of the game in recent months, and it was appreciated by many. If rumors are to be believed, the Healer nerf is only the tip of the iceberg when compared to the upcoming September update.
Upgrades Within Reach
One of the things that definitely aggravated players during the last major Clash of Clans update was the fact that most of the improvements in the popular mobile game were exclusive only to players with Town Halls 11 and above. With most freemium players not reaching TH 11 yet, many felt like the developer neglected them on the latest update.
This would allegedly be addressed in the upcoming September update, where numerous notable upgrades would be implemented for Town Halls 1 to 10. A number of new troops and new structures would allegedly be unveiled with the September 2016 update as well, such as a Gem Mine, which would enable players to acquire gems for free.
New Features, Fairer Rules
Speculations are high that the upcoming Clash of Clans update would include new gaming modes that would allow players, regardless of their tenure in the game, to challenge the veterans in the spirit of friendly competition. Over the years, Clash of Clans has amassed millions of veteran players, and the discrepancy in power between newbies and veterans have reached a point where competition between the two is practically impossible.
If rumors do prove true, Clash of Clans would soon implement a new battle system that would allow new players to battle it out with the most esteemed players in the game. Speculations are high that this would be done by setting the opposing teams' levels to the same range; thus, making matches much more balanced and interesting.
While the majority of these speculations have not been confirmed by Supercell as of writing, they have, nonetheless, managed to get the franchise's most avid fans excited. With these changes and upgrades, Clash of Clans might very well reclaim the top spot in mobile gaming very soon.
