It appears that the past year has been one which taught Kaley Cuoco a lot of love, as the actress divorced her husband Ryan Sweeting and eventually found new love with Equestrian Karl Cook.

In a new interview with People, the Big Bang Theory star opened up about her new romance and admitted that the two were able to take a big step when it came to having a romantic date together recently, and that they had a lot of fun being what she called "dorky" during it.

"It's funny, he's either the one riding or it's me, so we're rarely doing it together," she said. "But recently we did go on a little trail ride date. It was adorable. We hadn't really done that yet. One is usually cheering for the other so that was kind of cute to go out together. We totally held hands. It was very dorky!"

Cuoco also admitted that the pair's date was also romantic, with a "storybook ending" when they rode into the sunset together as well.

She also admitted during the interview that she has learned a lot about love since filing for divorce from Sweeting last September after only 21 months of marriage, and that the lessons she has learned about it through her relationship with Cook have helped her understand the feeling more and gives her more happiness than she knew she could have.

"When you share something so special, some sort of connection-for us, it's horses, but anything two people share-you have that common goal and you know that you want the same things in life, day to day, and in the future," she said. "It just sets you on a better path. Having a lot in common is really important and we definitely have a lot in common. I think that that's what makes us so strong and really happy."
