Specs for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 has been leaked on BenchLife. It seems like Nvidia is gearing up to dominate the graphics card market this year, as specs of the company's next GPU, the GeForce GTX 1050, recently surfaced online.
The leaks were first published by Chinese website BenchLife, which stated that it was able to acquire concrete information about the upcoming graphics card.
The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050
Nvidia has already released three Pascal chips so far, the GP102 used in the Titan X and Quadro P6000, the GP104 which is utilized by the GTX 1070 and GTX 1080, and most recently, the GP106, which is used for the GTX 1060.
According to the leak, however, Nvidia is not done with the year just yet, with another Pascal chip, the GP107, arriving in October. The GPU to carry this new chip would be the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050.
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Specs
Benchlife's leak carries a lot of clues about the alleged upcoming device. According to the leak, the GTX 1050 would have a fully-enabled chip built on the 16nm FinFET process. This allows the GPU to function optimally, free of any disabled cores.
The GTX 1050 would allegedly feature 768 CUDA cores, a CPU clock speed of 1316MHz, and a boost speed of 1m380MHz. As for texture fill rates, the leak stated that it's going to feature 84.2 GTexel/s.
Other specs in the leak state that the GP107 Pascal chip would feature up to 4GB of GDDR5 memory from South Korean tech giant Samsung. It would also sport a memory clock of 1,752Mhz and a 128-bit bus width and bandwidth of 112.1 GB/s.
What was not mentioned in the leak, however, is if the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 would feature an auxiliary power connector or not.
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Price and Release Date
The new GPU, which seems to be targeted towards the budget market, is speculated to cost about $150 when it gets released, competing directly against the AMD RX 470. While the actual date of the GTX 1050's release has not been confirmed by Nvidia, speculations are high that the GPU would be unveiled sometime mid-October.
