'Kingdom Hearts 3' News: Keyblade Master To Debut, Pre-Orders Available Soon, Xbox One Version Scrapped? [VIDEO]
The Kingdom Hearts franchise has been going strong for many years, and with the game's official third installment rumored to debut soon, fans interest in the title is at an all-time high. If rumors about Kingdom Hearts 3 prove to be accurate, the newest title in the franchise might very well be the best one yet.
Kingdom Hearts 3 - New Keyblade Master
Though Square Enix has been pretty mum about the official character lineup of the upcoming title, rumors are high that Kingdom Hearts 3 would feature a new playable character in the form of Kairi, one of Sora's oldest friends and a possible Keyblade master.
Fans of the Kingdom Hearts series have always had a soft spot for Kairi since the character's debut in the first Kingdom Hearts game as one of the Princesses of Hearts. When she returned to Kingdom Hearts 2, Kairi was notably shown handling a Keyblade, leading fans to speculate that she would eventually be a Keyblade Master, too.
Apart from being a possible Keyblade Master, Kairi has always been considered as one of Sora's best love interests. If she does become a playable character in Kingdom Hearts 3, the premise of the two Keyblade Masters falling in love might very well be explored.
Kingdom Hearts 3 - Pre-Orders to Start Soon
Fans of the Kingdom Hearts franchise have noted that the Japanese Xbox Store actually listed KH3 as one of the titles that would eventually be available for pre-order. Unfortunately, no other details have been deduced from the sighting, but the sheer presence of the title in the Japanese Xbox Store's lineup does seem to suggest that the game would be available for pre-order soon.
Kingdom Hearts 3 - PC, PS4 Exclusive?
While Kingdom Hearts 3 did appear in the Japanese Xbox Store as a pre-order title, the game was eventually taken off the list without any announcement. This has led some fans of the franchise to believe that the game would most likely be a PlayStation and PC exclusive.
Of course, the removal of the title in the online store might simply be a matter of logistics. After all, Kingdom Hearts 3 is a blockbuster title with a very massive fanbase, and that fanbase spans across almost all gaming platforms available in the market right now.
