The highly anticipated sequel "Fifty Shades Darker" is set to be released next year, but fans are hearing some sad news. There are rumors circulating that lead actor Jamie Dornan who plays the role of Christian Grey in the film is planning to leave the franchise for good.
In the new trailer released for the upcoming movie, fans can expect more steamy scenes between Dornan and Dakota Johnson who plays the role of Anastasia Steele in the movie. With that, there are several claims that Dornan and Johnson are having an affair after spending a lot of time together. But according to Movie News Guide, the rumors were put to rest after reports reveal that Dornan is also spending a lot of time with his family.
There are sources that claim to be close to Dornan who revealed that he is now willing to move out of the franchise. Dornan has been typecast with the character of Christian Grey and he may not be too pleased about that. Moreover, the source also thinks that Dornan is now ready to experiment in playing new roles and appear in varied genres.
Inquisitr reported that Dornan already ruled out the possibility of him appearing to a potential fourth film in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" franchise. An earlier report revealed that the 34-year-old actor said that he will not be back as Christian Grey once they finish filming the second and third installments. This follows the news that author E.L James already finished the fourth novel of the series titled "Grey."
"Fifty Shades Darker" will explore more on Christian and Anastasia's relationship. It will also feature Christian's first sexual partner and mentor to be played by actress Kim Basinger. Fans will also learn more about Christian's past in the film.
