Fans are excited as it is only a couple of weeks away in the season premiere of "Supernatural" Season 12. The final season of the show is expected to be filled with exciting plot twists and action-packed scenes.

Game & Guide reported that Rick Springfield will be joining the "Supernatural" cast as Vince Vicente. Vince is a rock star in the show. Fans can expect for Lucifer to have an upgrade with a new face and a new talent as well. Springfield's character will be Lucifer's new vessel in the upcoming season.

After bouncing from body to body, Lucifer realizes that God is now gone. With that, he feels that he can do anything he wants.

It was also confirmed that Mother Mary Winchester (Samantha Smith) will be returning in Season 12. According to The News Recorder, Mary and her son and Dean (Jensen Ackles) will be on a mission to rescue Sam (Jared Padalecki). However, Dean will also be reluctant in letting his newly resurrected mother come with him to save Sam.

It was also said that Mary is not at all innocent and she will play a bigger role in the upcoming season of the show. She is also stronger than she may seem based on the sneak peak video released earlier. Fans can expect for the mission to be a bloody mess. However, fans can be sure that Dean will be able to take out Sam safely.

It seems like the show will be ending in a positive note with the Winchester brother reuniting with each other and also with their mother. But before that, fans can expect that the brothers will still face different foes before having their own happy ending.

"Supernatural" Season 12 Episode 1 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 13. The show will occupy the 9 p.m. slot in the network every Tuesdays.
