Anthony Castro spoke to reporters Monday night and said that he was stunned about what happened. "This is beyond comprehension," he said.

WKYC reported that Anthony, a former journalism student at Bowling Green State University wrote an article for the Cleveland Plain Press about the disappearance of DeJesus.

An editor at Plain Press confirmed that the now 31-year-old was a college student who wrote the story as a class assignment.

Police said they believe that Berry, 26, DeJesus, 23, and Knight, 32 were held captive in a house since they were teenagers, The Daily Mail reported.

The girls had stayed in the Cleveland house just a few miles from the city where they disappeared.

Charles Ramsey, a neighbor heard screaming from the home and ran over to help.

He spoke to reporters and said that he had no idea there were three women held hostage inside the home.

"This girl is kicking the door and screaming," Ramsey told NBC station WKYC-TV. "So I go over there ... and I say, 'Can I help? What's going on?' And she says, 'I've been kidnapped, and I've been in this house a long time. I want to leave right now.'"

Ramsey said he let her use his phone to call 911.

"Help me. I'm Amanda Berry,'' Berry told a 911 dispatcher. ''I've been kidnapped and I've been missing for 10 years and I'm, I'm here, I'm free now.'

Berry went missing on Apri 21, 2003, one day before her 17th birthday.

Berry's co-worker at the time, Jennifer Picart, who worked with her the night she went missing said she was the last to see her before she vanished.
