No More Wedding for Mariah Carey and James Packer?
The wedding bells have stopped ringing. Mariah Carey, the 46-year-old singer and Australian billionaire James Packer have cancelled their engagement.
"The diva has decided to call off her wedding because her estranged husband Nick Cannon, an American rapper and television personality has not signed the divorce papers till now" Hollywood Take reports. The pending divorce is causing serious problems between the singer and her current fiancé.
The sources told that James wants the divorce to be finalized and Nick Cannon is yet to sign divorce papers. It is still not clear why does he reluctant to sign papers? Is it due to his kids or alimony or something else?
Having been dating since the summer of 2015, Mariah, the mother of two kids, got engaged to James this past January, after separating from Nick, around August 2014.
Carey was earlier married to Nick Cannon from 2008 to 2015, and they had twins Moroccan and Monroe, 5, in 2011. Cannon said, "The only thing that's important to me is my children. I believe my ex feels the exact same way." Morning News USA claims.
The things are not going well between the couple and their relationship has started rolling downhill. Both were struggling to save their relationship from the quite some time. According to RadarOnline, Mariah Carey was spotted walking the shores of Mykonos in a flowing white gown on September 22 with her boyfriend James Packer in desperate attempt to save their love.
In addition to the issue, Carey and Parker had previously mentioned that their wedding is delayed due to their busy schedule and planning a grand wedding takes time too.
As all the sources have confirmed that the marriage is on hold, the couple has not made any official statement about it. Till then, fans have to wait for the update whether both move forward for wedding or brake-up.
