Apple and Samsung continue to go head to head with one another in the tech market with its top selling smartphones, the iPhone 5 and Galaxy S4.

While Apple's iPhone 5 is still doing considerably well profit-wise, Samsung has really begun to close the gap by adding a slew of advanced features to the newest Galaxy.

When it comes to the functionality of the top-tier companies' competing devices, the Android and iOS are totally unsimilar operating systems. Although both allow for easy and convenient navigation, the iOS offers its users a more user-friendly experience while the Android gives its owners the perk of having seemingly limitless customization options.

To top it off, the Galaxy S4 comes packed with NFC, HD Display, quad-core processor, removable battery, and expandable storage amongst many other valuable specs. While the iPhone 5 does possess many of the same traits, the Christian Post reported that Apple's smartphone "does not even come close in the feature department" to Samsung's latest device.

Up until this point, it seems as though the Samsung Galaxy S4 has the advantage over Apple's iPhone 5 device in terms of its specs.

However, the current results may not be shocking, as the Galaxy S4 is a significantly newer smartphone. It will be interesting to see how Apple combats Samsung with its future iPhone 6, which is may be coming out in the spring of 2014, according to Macworld.
