'Counting On' Season 2, Duggar Family Update: Anna Speaks Up On Coping Up After Josh’s Betrayal
Anna Duggar bravely speaks up about coping after Josh's betrayal. The mother of four talked about her recovery on "Counting On."
If everyone thought "Counting On" will focus more on the Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo Engagement now that a wedding is looming, think again. Anna Duggar, who has to endure a lot after finding out about her husband's philandering ways, spoke up, indirectly about where she is at right now, emotionally speaking.
In the newest episode of "Counting On," Anna sat down in front of the camera for the interview that came along with the episode. Although she had spoken ever so briefly and secondarily about her life after the scandal broke, viewers felt the pain she had to endure and is still enduring.
A clip where Jana Duggar and Anna are bonding made it to the episode this week. With this comes the obligatory interview. Anna talked about how Jana will make a wonderful wife someday. However, the distressed woman added to her statement, "But selfishly right now, I'm so thankful I've had her as a shoulder to cry on."
The past 18 months is surely not easy for Anna. Being married to the man who broke her heart and standing beside him is certainly beyond difficult. What is most heartbreaking with her statement is that she is happy at the possibility of Jana's future even when she is currently battling tragic issues in her life.
It has been more than a year since the news broke that Josh Duggar, Anna's husband, molested five teenagers. As reported by The Stir, four of these ladies are his own sisters. Through all this, the faithful wife stood by his husband.
However, as if that scandal was not enough, Anna found out that Josh had extramarital affairs. The oldest Duggar son did not deny this. He voluntarily signed up for intense therapy and after, Anna still welcomed him back.
Right now, the couple remains in the Duggar family compound in Arkansas.
