The "Assassin's Creed" movie version is getting a cinematic VR experience. At the same time, the film will last more than two hours.

"Assassin's Creed" is the next game which is turned into a movie that will be on the chopping block. Many other games have tried to take the Hollywood scene but failed miserably.

In December, the film will be released in cinemas and the whole world will find out whether it could break the curse on movie version of games. But before that, "Assassin's Creed" is being tapped to get a Hollywood-caliber VR experience, Upload VR reported.

The Practical Magic VR president, Matthew Lewis made it clear that a VR version of the "Assassin's Creed" movie is not exactly a game.

"We're capturing and re-creating the world from the film in really high quality, using massive textures [and] complex geometry. It's all being painstakingly done with 3D scanners. When I say painstakingly, it was our team that was literally there in a warehouse in Malta in the summer, scanning swords and weapons and costumes from this movie. It's very, very hard work," Lewis said.

According to a reliable source, the VR experience will also star the lead of the movie, Michael Fassbender. Apart from this, there is not enough information disclosed by Ubisoft and others working on the project. However, fans are hoping that the VR experience will include the death-defying Leap of Faith seen in the trailer of the movie.

In other "Assassin's Creed" movie news, Segment Next mentioned that the film will last more than 2 hours. It will run for 140 minutes, trailers and advertisements not included. The movie is set in both the present world and the 1400s Spanish Inquisition. The main plot tackles the war between assassins and Templars.

The "Assassin's Creed" movie will open in theatres on Dec. 21 this year.
