Paltrow: 'I'm Never Going Again' to MET Gala after Anna Wintour's 2013 Ball was 'So Un-Fun' [PHOTO]
Gwyneth Paltrow bashed the recent MET Gala and vowed to never attend the A-list affair again.
Paltrow attended the star-studded event held on May 6 in NYC. She arrived in a pink Valentino gown and made her turn on the red carpet.
The Costume Institute Gala, which is thrown by Vogue, did not do anything for the actress this time around. She has attended in previous years but did not enjoy herself on Monday.
"I'm never going again," she said.
Paltrow complained to USA Today that the event had lost its luster. The annual gathering of fashion's elite at the Metropolitan Museum of Art did not live up to her expectations and she was bored throughout the evening.
"It was so un-fun. It was boiling," she said. "I did not enjoy it at all."
During the gala Paltrow avoided taking pictures with her husband, Chris Martin. They try to avoid posing together on red carpets and she explained why to ELLE UK in 2009, saying they do not want to be so public with their relationship.
"It doesn't behoove us to be a public couple," Paltrow said. "He certainly doesn't want that. We've never ever walked down a red carpet together, we never will."
Despite not posing for official pictures, the couple did oblige singer Psy. They both took turns taking pictures with the Korean phenomenon.
"Making new friends at Met Gala. Gwyneth Paltrow," the Gangnam Style singer tweeted Monday.
Although Paltrow did not enjoy herself for various reasons, including being that it was too crowded, she did find one positive thing to say about the event. She praised Miranda Kerr and said she found the model's dress to be in line with the punk theme of the evening. Paltrow also complimented Kerr's looks.
"She's just so pretty, it's abnormal," Paltrow said.
Paltrow was named the world's most beautiful woman by PEOPLE in April. However, she felt that Kerr could have carried that title at the MET Ball.
"I was like, 'Is it weird to be that pretty?' And she was like, 'No.' "
