As per rumors, Samsung is all set to release its upcoming flagship smartphone Galaxy S8 on February 26, 2017, Just a day before Mobile World Congress starts. It is highly speculated among the tech fans, that the South Korean company will try to retain its lost reputation with the massive downfall faced due to the failure of its worldwide Galaxy Note 7 recall. The latter device was recently officially discontinued by the company.
Speculations have been made over the specs and features which may be seen attributed to this magnificent successor of Samsung's S series smartphones. Many attributes among them may stay as common with its precursor model. But there are seven notable features hinted by potential sources which, if included, may turn this smartphone into something worth of buying.
According to a report by Forbes, the smartphone would be sporting a high definition 4K resolution screen. The phone would deliver a superlative experience to the viewers whenever they desire to enjoy any HD contents. With a comprehensive 3840 by 2160 pixels panel, the device will also offer world class experience to the photographers.
The smartphone is also hinted to replace the home button with an amazing fingerprint sensor and it is also said to have edge-to-edge display along with its whole front screen. According to a report by iTech Post, Apple's forthcoming masterpiece iPhone 8 is also hinted to sport similar features. So, this can prove to be an advantage for Samsung to promote this special attribute on a high scale prior to the rival's launch, which can automatically elevate the sales.
Samsung is also reported to sport double lens camera which can capture moments in a quality much alike DSLR cameras. As for its predecessor: Galaxy S7, the company manufactures some units with a Samsung ISOCELL S5K2L1 sensor and associates some units with a Sony IMX260 sensor, The company might do the same again for the Galaxy S8 along with larger megapixels and brighter lenses.
The device is reported to be powered by Exynos 8895 processor, having a 3 GHz maximum speed, worldwide and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chipset processor only within the U.S, alongside an ARM Mali-G71 graphics chips which pledges to deliver better processor speed with high-end resolution at lesser power consumption.
The smartphone is expected to come in two variants with different display size. The primary one is hinted to sport 5.1-inch display while the high-end one will have a 5.5-inch front. However, report hint that Samsung has determined to vanish the regular versions, as seen in case of S6 and S7, and to manufacture both the variants of S8, only in Edge versions.However, we have to wait till any further information outbreaks about the device.
