The well-admired camera maker known from decades, Kodak, has however failed to surpass the race with its rivals who have revolutionized photography experience with their new age attribution of digital cameras. But the company is still trying to mesmerize the tech lovers with its nostalgic charm. For this, Kodak has now built a smartphone which comes with a high-powered camera aimed at photography obsessed.

According to a report by The Telegraph, the company has made a pact with Bullitt, a United Kingdom-based digital device manufacturer specialized in creating innovative and unconventional gadgets all along, to create this stunner, which has been named as Ektra. As per the indications provided by the brand, the exclusive smartphone is named after a 1941 classical vintage camera of Kodak. According to their expectations, the smartphone will carry the legacy of photography which they are protecting with care from a long past.

The spectacular smartphone will sport a 21-MP rear snapper along with a f/2.0 aperture and a Sony's powerful IMX230 image sensor. Equipped with a wider lens and an image stabilization facilities, the camera will even enable users to record and stream video at a resounding 4K resolution. According to a report by The Verge, the device will also have an attractive 5-inch display with a 1080p front panel. The smartphone will also sport a 12-MP f2.2 aperture enabled front shooter.

The device will be powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 processor and will run on Android 6.0. It will come with a 3GB RAM alongside a 32 GB internal storage. The classy smartphone will also feature a Kodak's very own camera app which will enable users to make all their editing desires possible and a Super 8 video app that which will allow them to have a vintage feel,

While spreading some lights on its upcoming stunner, Kodak's CEO Jeff Clarke stated: "Kodak has a rich history in imaging technology and the launch of the Kodak smartphone today demonstrates our ongoing commitment to bringing the latest advances in photography to consumers." . The smartphone is scheduled to be released officially in December 2016 with a worthy price tag of $449 only.
