Chengdu J-20: China's stealth fighter jet for World War 3?
The Chengdu J-20 is what China is calling their recently debuted stealth planes. Stealth planes are a master of craft in the aviation industry. They are meant to be deadly air crafts packed with various weapons.
Yet at the same time they are made to be undetectable by various detection systems. That being said, they are also meant to be advantageously quiet and make as little sound as possible. However the recent planes by China may be breaking some of the basic guidelines of the new plane.
On the 1st of November the planes were debuted in an airshow. The planes did all kinds of tricks where they showed off their mobility. They also did a fierce napalm strike example, engulfing a large part of ground in flames. Yet people were not very impressed as the planes made immense noises,
The planes were said to be extremely loud. Although it is acceptable for regular air crafts to be loud, a stealth plane being loud would completely defeat its purpose of being stealthy.
People were shocked and started asking the officials some questions.
According to The Globe and Mail, the officials were ready to answer some questions. They mentioned how they still had a lot to learn and even admitted the planes were louder than acceptable.
However, they were also quite positive regarding their achievements and seemed content with it.
According to Mail Online, people are also beginning to question the shape of the stealth plane. They mention how it resembles the design of the US stealth planes.
There are many controversies roaming around this topic. For starters people are saying that China purposely did a public stunt to trick the enemy into thinking this is the best they have. There were also various unanswered questions about stealth.
