Two years ago, Taylor Swift has released her first pop album "1989." Just when everybody thought that she won't be going back to the country genre, she makes an appearance in the recent Country Music Awards.

USA Today reported that the "Shake It Off" singer made a surprise appearance in the event to present the Entertainer of the Year trophy to country legend Garth Brooks. This was the award she won back in 2009 and 2011 and was nominated for it in 2012 and 2013.

During the presentation, she said that it has been 13 years since she came to Nashville and dreamed of becoming a songwriter and recording artist. She also acknowledged the presence of the remarkable country artists present in the event, saying that she has learned what it means to be an entertainer from them.

With the announcement of her fifth album in 2014, she declared that she is leaving country music. She also revealed in an interview that her record label president asked her to write three country songs, but she declined. But with her surprise appearance in the recent Country Music Awards, does this mean that she is ready to go back to her roots?

The Washington Post speculated that Swift is trying to look for a familiar territory after the scandals and issues she was involved in the last few months. After her break-up with Calvin Harris, she was mocked for being in a relationship with Tom Hiddleston weeks after.

Her feud with Harris did not end there as after someone from her camp revealed that she was one of the songwriters for Harris' hit, "This Is What You Came For." Harris then attacked Swift in his Twitter page saying that everything was just a PR stunt.

Aside from that, Kim Kardashian leaked her phone call with Kanye West that aims to prove that Swift new all about West's song "Famous." Many have called Swift a "snake" because of it. Swift defended herself in her Instagram post, but decided to go under the radar after her break-up with Hiddleston in September.
