Both stars have only been married for a short period of time and reportedly arrived at a temporary custody and visitation agreement.
A source from, Angelina Jolie, an Oscar-winning actress has confirmed that she and Brad Pitt have attained a legal agreement regarding the guardianship of their six children, Hello reports.
A representative of UN goodwill ambassador since 2001, Jolie has confirmed that the actress will continue to have sole custody of their six children while Pitt can pay "therapeutic visits" to his kids occasionally. Why therapeutic visits for Pitt? What is the purpose of therapeutic visits?
It means, in the field of family law, Pitt is allowed to visit his children under the supervision of a therapist. Generally, therapeutic visitation is ordered in cases where the children are exposed to domestic violence. According to USA TODAY, Pitt was accused of being abusive toward his children. Many sources revealed that the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services was investigating the incident.
No representative from Pitt has uttered a word regarding the settlement.
Jolie, 41, and Pitt, 52 got married just two years ago in Chateau Miraval, a sprawling villa in Correns, France after nine years of being together. The couple is also planning to sell their joint properties to divide assets equally.
Pointing to irreconcilable differences, the actress filed for divorce in September. She desire to have sole physical custody of six kids - Maddox, Shiloh, Pax, Zahara, and twins Vivienne and Knox. On the other hand, Pitt requested a court last week to grant joint custody.
