Michelle Knight, Ariel Castro's longest held victim,may undergo facial reconstruction surgery, according to CBS News
"When she was severely beaten, he had beat her so bad in the face, she has to have facial reconstruction, and she's lost hearing in one ear," stated Deborah Knight, the victims grandmother, according to CBS. .
According to the Huffington Post, Knight was released from MetroHealth Medical Center on Friday. However, little has been told of her story and she has reportedly not seen much of her family since she was rescued from her abductor on May 6. The family was reportedly not notified when she was released from the hospital.
"Barbara Knight is a mother whose daughter has lived through hell," Knight's mother's attorney Jay Milano stated according to ABC. "The actual hell. Worse than we can imagine. It was hell for her, too. She came up to be with her daughter, to hug her, to help her heal. She's been stonewalled down the line. I don't know why and I know it's abhorrent,"
Knight, now 32, was abducted eleven years ago. At the age of 20, Knight was a single mother who had recently lost custody of her young son, according to various media reports. While there were large amounts of information surrounding the disappearance of Knight's co-victims Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus, there was significantly less known of the person some are dubbing the Forgotten Abductee.
