In "Dragon Ball Super" Episode 66, Goku and Vegeta decided to merge in order to stop Zamasu. Goku convinced Vegeta to do it since he knows that their powers alone are not enough to defeat their enemy. The merged Goku and Vegeta called Vegito did surpass the strength of the merged Zamasu and Black.

However by the end of the episode, Goku and Vegeta unfused and Zamasu tries to attack them witth his light blade. Fortunately Trunks was there to block the attack after he was able to mend his broken sword. The big question now is, will Trunks put an end to Zamasu, or will he meet his demise?

According to GameNGuide, Trunks was able to show Zamasu how powerful humans are if they work together. Trunks progressively grew stronger as everyone gave him his power. He was able to pierce Zamasu with his sword and also cut him in half. However, things are still beginning as Zamasu is expected to return back to normal in "Dragon Ball Super" Episode 67.
