Did Kurt Cobain predict Trump's success in 1993?
Ever since Donald Trump became president, there have been many people re-affirming their beliefs and saying how they had total faith in him from the beginning. While that is all well and good, sometimes someone goes too far.
An image became viral around the internet a few days back. It was simply one of those "Memes," which contained the face of Kurt Cobain along with a quote he mentioned.
According the picture at Truth or Fiction, the late Cobain talks about how this generation will surprise everyone with their ability to choose a political party. He also mentioned how he would not be surprised if some business tycoon suddenly stepped up to the plate and became president. He then proceeded to give an example of Donald Trump.
The image then showed how this quote came about in 1993. That being said, before this article is continued it is important to note that this is more than likely to be false.
The picture was originally posted on a Facebook page called Trump Train as mentioned by Snopes. It featured the image without giving any sense of proof.
A quick search on Google done by various people showed how Cobain never said anything at all related to this, ever.
The post was released on the 30th of July 2016. It featured a picture of Kurt Cobain which can be found anywhere on the internet. It was made using a generic "Meme" maker and to top it all off, it even misspelled Kurt's name as Curt.
Most likely to promote Trump during the presidential elections, this Facebook page took a dangerous turn and quoted someone who did not say anything related to that quote.
To make matters worse, the Trump Train has posted incorrect articles about incorrect facts before on their page too so this source can definitely notbe trsuted.
