'Thor: Ragnarok' Release Date Likely Happening After 'Black Panther'; Movie To Link Events With 'Avengers: Infinity War' [Video]
Thor: Ragnarok will be providing a cohesive angle to the studio's "Phase Three," according to Marvel Studios.
Thor: Ragnarok rumors suggest that the film may be set immediately after Avengers: Age Of Ultron. However, this can easily be seen from "Thor 3: Ragnarok - Vacation Teaser Trailer" released on October 29th.
According to the comics, "Ragnarok" has two meanings. One such reference is to a Thor-Cyborg character, that is made from the Asgardian's DNA and Stark's Technology. The other reference is to an event of doom that leaves the universe destroyed with most characters dying on the event. This event also leaves Asgard submerged under water.
While still up to speculations, Tony Stark did see an impending vision of doom and again, this approaching event was foreseen by Thor as well. However, there are still speculations if these visions relate to the new Thor: Ragnarok movie.
According to Collider, returning characters reprise their roles, with Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Most of the other members of the cast return as well, with Idris Elba resuming his role as Heimdall. Jamie Alexander will also be coming back to the screen as the Norse Goddess Sif.
This movie also sheds some light on what Hulk has been doing all this time during the events of Captain America: Civil War and can be expected to be seen in the film. Other characters like Odin and Volstagg return. As of now, there are no reports on how important these roles would be to the film.
Thor: Ragnarok release date is going to be in 2017, after movies like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 and Spiderman: Homecoming will be released. According to DigitalSpy, it is also rumored that Thor: Ragnarok will be released before Black Panther and will be providing a link between the older Marvel movies and Infinity War.
