Naruto Shippuden Coming To An End: Boruto Next Generation To Premiere Around Mid-2017 [Video]
For some fans, the Naruto Shippuden series has ended. However, it was recently announced that the follow up to Naruto Shippuden, the Boruto manga, would be getting an anime adaptation in 2017. The Boruto arc is a hyped up arc focussing on the life of the children of the Rookie 9.
The ending of Naruto Shippuden brings news. The newest Boruto anime was teased in Jump Fiesta 2016, as reported by OtakuVines.
The website also reported that the new anime might only be a special, and might be one episode long. The reason for the anime to be a "special" is because the Boruto manga is still going through the flashbacks of Boruto: Naruto the Movie.
Boruto is Naruto and Hinata's son, and is the special focus of Boruto the manga. The series also revolves around the new generation of the Konoha Rookies and their exploits. Boruto also has a number of opponents to take care of, and some of these opponents are Momoshiki and Kinshiki, who are descendants of Kaguya Ootsutsuki, as reported by University Herald.
Naruto Shippuden is a famous anime, following the original manga created by Mashashi Kishimoto. Although it has ended, the anime staff is wrapping it up with some filler episodes that sheds some light on the events after the Great Ninja War. The main series has ended with Naruto becoming the Seventh Hokage with peopel accepting him as the Hero of Konoha.
Other Boruto news indicate that the new anime would follow an entirely different storyline focussed on an entirely new generation of ninjas. There is not much manga material to work on, however, that would not pose as a hindrace to the creators of the anime. The animators of Boruto are fairly confident that the adaptation would be able to capture people's hearts, just like Naruto did 14 years ago.
Recent updates about Boruto suggest that the anime might be coming mid-2017 and fans are eagerly waiting to see the new generation of ninjas in action.
