Catherine Zeta-Jones has left rehab following treatment for her Bipolar II condition.

"She comes home tomorrow," Michael Douglas told PEOPLE. She's doing a really good job of getting balanced. I'm proud of her."

Douglas made the revelation on Monday while at the Cannes Film Festival, where he was promoting his HBO film, Behind the Candelabra. Douglas also spoke about his wife's homecoming to Extra! He said that his spouse was ready to take charge of her life.

"She's got herself worked out with her meds and she's raring to go!" he said.

Zeta-Jones entered treatment on April 29 to issues related to her disease. A publicist for the actress released a statement about her decision to seek treatment at the 30 day program.

"Catherine has proactively checked into a health care facility," her rep, Cece Yorke, told PEOPLE. "Previously Catherine has said that she is committed to periodic care in order to manage her health in an optimum manner."

A source close to the actress denied that there had been any drastic change in her condition. They said that the 43-year old actress simply wanted doctors to monitor her status. There was not a big problem that needed to be addressed.

"This was just a good time to do it. She is in between projects," the source said. "This has always been part of the plan. She would manage her health. She is vigilant about it."

In 2011, Zeta-Jones revealed that she was diagnosed with Bipolar II Disorder. The mother of two checked into Silver Hill Hospital, a mental-health facility in New Canaan, Conn. Sources said that the actress was havng difficulty with the simple things in life and becoming overwhelmed. She decided to seek help as her depression showed no signs of abating.

Zeta Jones opened up about the experience to PEOPLE. She told the magazine that it was a disorder that affected millions and she just happened to be one of afflicted.

"If my revelation of having bipolar II has encouraged one person to seek help, then it is worth it. There is no need to suffer silently and there is no shame in seeking help."
