Nokia is back in the market with HMD Global revealing its first Nokia smartphone in China, "Nokia 6". the smartphone will be running in Android Nougat operating system, and will be exclusively available via exclusively through JD.com early 2017

HMD Global, a Finnish company, which was founded to develop phones under the Nokia brand name, gave a press release and said that the phone will only be available in China through a retailer JD. The release did mention that the Nokia 6 was the first step for the company, and there would be more Android powered Nokia to come this year.

Nokia 6 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and packing 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The smartphone also has a dual amplifier speaker with Dolby Atmos technology for sound output.

The device is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery. The home button in Nokia 6 doubles-up as a fingerprint sensor. Nokia 6 is a 4G-enabled smartphone which supports Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS and USB-OTG.

The Nokia 6 sports a Gorilla Glass protection on the screen and an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 505 GPU. It also features Quick Charge 3.0 that use to replenish battery power four times faster than conventional charging. The 16MP rear camera has an f/2.0 aperture and PDAF laser auto focusing. In front there is an 8MP camera, also featuring an f/2.0 aperture, for selfies and video chats, according to India Today.

The Nokia 6 that is announced by HMD Global on Sunday will be available firstly in China. The device is carrying a price tag of 1699 CNY that is roughly INR 16,739 or $250, with no word on global availability and pricing for now.

Finland-based HMD will be manufacturing the Nokia's upcoming phones for ten years in a row, in partnership with Foxcon. This is the same company which also makes Apple's iPhones. HMD will invest a minimum of 500 million Euros in marketing in the first three years and then will generally deal with developing and selling all Nokia-branded smartphones and accessories.
