Moto Z (2017) Spotted At Geekbench; Device To Feature Snapdragon 835. Android 7.1.1 Nougat [VIDEO]
Motorola was previously reported to be gearing up a new smartphone and now, it seems that the speculations are true. Dubbed as Moto Z (2017) the said device from the United States' tech giant has been spotted at Geekbench benchmark testing featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 and Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
NDTV Gadgets has learned that shortly after Lenovo's speculated Moto G5 Plus has been spotted in a benchmark leak, another Motorola phone has now been tipped in new benchmark listing. The forthcoming Moto device is dubbed Motorola XT1650 and it has been spotted Geekbench benchmark listing showing some of the specifications of the handset that's assumed to be the Moto Z (2017).
Based on the benchmark listing, the so-called Motorola XT1650 will be featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC that will be paired with 4GB of RAM. This handset also runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat as it came out the box. It was also revealed that the Moto Z (2017) scores a decent Single-core score of 1930 and Multi-core score of 6207.
Also, the Geekbench benchmark listing tips that the tests were run on Saturday. The listing was first seen by Android Pure and it stated that the rumored smartphone may be the Moto Z (2017).
As a refresher, Gizbot noted that in June 2016 Motorola has unveiled its heavily popularized Moto Z boasting an enormous 5.5-inch QHD display. This smartphone was engineered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor that works hand-in-hand with 4 GB of RAM. The Moto Z runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by a 2600 mAh battery.
Seeing the specs on the Geekbench benchmark listing it seems that the successor of the Moto Z smartphone, the Moto Z (2017) will be a little different from the earlier version when it comes with the specs and features.
Nevertheless, all these leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt as Lenovo has not confirmed anything about the upcoming smartphone as of the moment. With this, it is recommended for the company's patrons to wait until it finally announces the Moto Z (2017).
