Rockstar Games has released a new mode for GTA 5 Online and weekly sales that will run up until the end of January. However, although the video game company unveiled new gameplay, it looks like the players won't receive a lot of updates for the GTA title this 2017.

For the record, the video game publisher will never abandon its online video game series but it won't release much DLCs for the title this year. A source from Daily Express named Yan revealed that the Import and Export contents revealed in 2016 were the last big shot given to the game.

From there, Rockstar Games' plans for GTA 5 Online have changed because of its popularity. Hence, the new contents that will be released in the future might highlight the change happening revealing that it won't be as expansive as before and may not have new mechanics for the multiplayer.

"I talked about the devs being 'out of resources,' but what does that mean? Well, apparently Rockstar North is 'divided' in 4 parts as of right now [sic]," Yan wrote on his website. "Some people are helping San Diego with RDR2, some people started working on the next 'GTA,' and some people are working on another game."

Anyhow, as GTA 5 Online is still sought-after after three years of released, Rockstar Games dropped a new mode for the game called Collection Time with seven new maps. It is an Adversary Mode where teams composed of two to four players will have to battle to take and hold as many points in a set period of time.

It also introduced a new car called Dewbauchee Spectre, a two-door auto that is super "lightweight and super-customizable beast." Starting today until Jan.30, the in-game car shop Benny offers 25 percent off on upgrades to all kinds of vehicles. It also gives a great deal for the Executive Upgrade that will let the players customize their cars from their personal garage, GameSpot reported.

Rockstar Games also offers double GTA$ and RP for GTA Online Biker Clubhouse Contracts and Special Vehicle Work until Jan. 30. Lastly, there is a new premium race in GTA 5 Online called Chiliad. It is a stunt race that can be played until the said date that pays out a good amount of GTA$ to top three players and gives triple RP for the participants.
