Xiaomi has launched its flagship Mi 5s back in the September last year, and since the company has done in the past, it looks like it will release a more affordable version of that phone called the Mi 5c. The Xiaomi Mi 5c has got 3C certification in China, and is expected to launch in the future soon.

According to the listed certification, the device will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and a 64GB of inbuilt storage. The Xiaomi Mi 5c is also known as Xiaomi 'Meri', and previous rumors about the device say that this smartphone will come with a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display. The flagship will boast the rear-facing camera on the device sits at 12MP, while the front-facing camera will be of 8MP. Device is said to run on MIUI 8 out of the box, however, the base Android version is unclear.

According to specs listed on Android Headlines, Xiaomi Mi 5c will ship with a 5V / 2A charger, which means users won't be getting fast charging with this smartphone, unfortunately. The listing also reveals that the phone will offer 4G LTE connectivity, nevertheless which is more or less it as far as new details are concerned. The battery capacity was not specified, but several reports show that device will have 3,200mAh.

As per Digital Trend, an exact release date isn't known just yet cleared, but it's most likely the phone will launch before Xiaomi releases its new flagship, the Mi 6, which is expected to hit retailers sometime in the month of March or April. It's also possible that we will see the Mi 5c at Mobile World Congress in late February.

The Xiaomi Mi 5c's pricing is still unclear, speculation says that a Mi 5s with 3GB/64GB might be just over €300 and the older Mi 5 (3GB/32GB) could be sold for €250 (old but gold with its powerful Snapdragon 820 chipset).
